At Darlinghurst Chemist, we have a variety of products and services
to help make life a little easier for you. Use the dropdown menu to see what’s available to you.
Most people forget when to take a pill or whether they’ve actually taken one, especially those on several medications.
Multi-Dose packs make it easier to remember. These are sealed weekly calendar packs that contain your regular medication in blister compartments.
Each compartment is labelled with the following information:
If you’re going somewhere and don’t want to take the whole pack, the compartment’s perforated edges allow you to remove individual doses. Multi-Dose packs cost $4 per week.
We have an accredited consultant pharmacist on board who acts as an extension of your GP. This is particularly helpful for customers with multiple health conditions or those taking multiple medications. Our consultant pharmacist can visit you at home, as agreed by your GP, to advise on your medicine use and help you avoid any side effects. This ensures you get the most from your medicines.
Rather than throw out unwanted or expired medicine, which can get into the wrong hands or contaminate our water, we will dispose of them responsibly using our RUM (return of unwanted medicines) bins.
Managing any disease can be daunting, especially if you’ve just been diagnosed. We can help patients who need to manage their asthma, diabetes, opiate addiction, or blood pressure.
We’ll show you how to use and maintain your inhaler and other asthma devices, including peak flow meters, nebulisers, and spacers. This will help you get the best results and feel confident about the medicines and devices available.
As an accredited National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS) access point, we provide diabetes-related products at subsidised prices. That means we can help you choose the right blood glucose monitor and give you advice on how best to use it to suit your needs.
We also provide advice on how to manage other aspects of your diabetes, such as foot care, dental care, wound care and eye care.
If you or someone you know is seeking help for an opiate addiction, it’s important you are supported on your journey. That’s why we’ve created an environment that you can feel safe and comfortable in at all times.
As a registered supplier for opioid substitution treatment, we stock Methadone, Biodone and Subutex.
We have trained pharmacy staff who can take your blood pressure, discuss your results and refer you to your doctor for further assessment if necessary.
For customers who are interested in a holistic approach to treatment, we use evidence-based information to recommend complementary medicines – such as vitamins or probiotics – when appropriate.
Visit us in store for a wide range of vitamins, including Blackmores, Swisse, Bioglan and BioCeuticals
If you want to stop smoking but aren’t sure which product to use, come and have a chat to one of our staff members. We have a variety of Nicotine replacement therapies and can help you decide which will work best based on your needs.
We have nebulisers and crutches for hire. Crutches available include underarm or forearm crutches, which can be adjusted to height.
Losing a script or forgetting to bring it in can be frustrating, so we make it easy for you: we keep all your repeat prescriptions on file and send out an SMS to remind you when your script is due.
As small pharmacies go, we have a comprehensive range of prescription medications available. Our daily delivery service allows us to order any medications that we don’t stock and have them available to you within 24 to 48 hours.
Orders taken between Sunday and Friday AM will be delivered the next day. Orders taken between Friday and Saturday PM will be delivered on Monday morning.
If you’ve got an early start or late finish, our extended trading hours mean you can drop in between 7.30am and 10pm daily. You’re always welcome.
